The application deadline has just closed for Spring 2019 LVN to RN transition program at San Jac South in Houston. I was hoping to hear from any current or previous students who have some insight on the program.
So far my experience with applying and dealing with the college had been great. Far better than Lone Star even. But they have been very non-specific on what the actual program is like as far as work load, scheduling, clinical, etc. Am trying to gauge ahead of time just how busy it will be.

Hello! Did you register for any of the "Extra" RNSG courses available?
I actually just emailed them yesterday inquiring about those. Will post when I hear back.
I received a response back:
We are anticipating that Fall 2018 registration is filled for this course. At this time, the students already accepted for Fall 2018 have to complete their registration and payment plan prior to accepting any more students. If I hear of any openings, I will contact you immediately!
So, they are full right now.
I registered for 2 of the courses immediately after turning in my application on my friends recommendation. She is currently in the program and advised me to take all 3 if I could as it will lighten the load in 1st semester. It is a 6 class semester and She had to quite her job because of it. She was successful however it was rough! Payments are due today so hopefully you get in to a least one! Good Luck
So for anyone interested, I emailed San Jac transition admissions today on an unrelated issue and she mentioned in her return email that all applications are with the selection committee and that they are meeting today. So, expect answers very soon.
Thank you so much for this Tidbit!
Well, to follow up with my previous post, I heard back from the ADN transition advisor regarding my unrelated issue (I had requested a copy of a vaccination that I submitted with my application.) She emailed me the copy back that I requested, which means, she had the paperwork back and the applications are out of admission committee. I don't know exactly what the entails but I expect decisions to go out very soon. Could be today...could be early next week.
Oh my goodness!! You are a Gem!! Thank you for keeping me updated. I wish you LuCk at Lonestar as well. I pray everything goes as Planned for youí ¾í´—Take care Friend!

As I expected, decisions have been made. I got my acceptance email today. I am going to call and get final clarification on the scheduling and then likely, decline my spot.
Yes, we received them earlier today. I got waitlisted so I'm trying to stay Positive and Hope for the bestí ½í¹í ¼í¿¼í ½í¹‚
