San Jacinto College Fall 2025 application

Published

Just wanted to come on here and see if anyone else is applying to San Jac for Fall 2025 admission. Was just curious of you guy's pre req scores, GPA, and TEAS exam. Just asking because I'm not so sure my scores are high enough to get accepted.

Thanks!

4.0 GPA

A's in all prerequisites

75 on TEAS but I'm retaking it

What is your rubric score?

dangg OK do you know what your score on the rubric was?

Right now it's an 18 because I did start off as a bio major and I dropped classes which reallly hurts my rubric I hope they don't heavily consider that ill be a bad applicant because of that 😞 Im hoping to get an 85 or higher on the TEAS to boost my score. I really want to go to central it's my #1 option I don't really have backup options besides north campus

I really think you'll be OK! I was asking my friend who attends central and she had a 17. I also got a 79 on my TEAS which isn't that great and I was going to retake but it would only bring my score up one point (if I got an 80+) so I thought it would really be too stressful to retake just for 1 more point. my score is a 15... which is super low considering all the other threads I've read, that's why im concerned. It's so low because I goofed around and my GPA dropped and I have dropped a few classes, but hopefully I'll be an exception 🤞 if not ill have to retake a class to boost my grade and GPA

Oh wow that does make me feel a little better I thought my rubric score would have to be way higher to get in. Hopefully we get in. I went to the information session and I heard about 100-120 people get accepted each year so that was a relief. How well are your pre req grades? and also have you finished applying?

my preqs are 2 A's one B and one C in micro. I did apply like at the end of February, im so anxious to hear back! if I don't get in ill retake micro and hopefully get an A and then retake my TEAS. I'm also going to try to apply to Lee college but I heard their passing grade in nursing school is 80 vs san jac is 70 so that's a big difference. when are you planning on retaking your TEAS?

Oh dang! that is a huge difference. I'm retaking my TEAS march 11. I'm honestly feeling really confident about it. The only thing that hurt my score a lot was the reading because I had so much anxiety when starting the test. All my other sections were above 75%. I plan on applying the day I finish my last attempt on the TEAS.

I think you have a good chance of getting in because your TEAS score is pretty good and they do accept a lot of people and central isn't everyone's first choice. Do you know your friends TEAS score?

Is your friend with 17 point in the program? I have 24 and I'm planning to retake TEAS to get the extra point

Anybody know of anyone who got in the program with a lowish score?

I know someone that got in with a 16 rubric score

and did they get in? she's actually graduating this Spring so she had to take the HESSI. I'm not too sure what she had gotten I think it was a high B, but I've heard the HESSI is easier compared to the TEAS.

also what was their TEAS score, do you know? because I want to say the estimate the acceptance off of the rubric but IDK
