Anyone else applying to San Jac Spring 2019? Application dates are August 6, 2018 - October 8, 2018.
My rubric is currently 17 but I am in the middle of APII and taking Micro in the fall; that's an additional 2-6 points. HESI is 90.4.
I'm applying for spring 2019 with a rubric score of 22 and a 91.2 on my Hesi. I have all A's on my prereqs but in micro I made a c bc I went through surgery at the time. Do you think they'll over look that with my scores being high or I'll end up having to retake micro? Thank you for sticking around after being accepted. Any kind of insight helps!
I got a C in A&P 1. Your scores are higher than what I had so you have a good chance of getting in. I can tell you this, you can have surgeries, family issues or a flat tire. THEY DO NOT CARE!! It will be counted against you. It also depends on your professor. Every session is 8 weeks and you can have only one absence or three tardies. The 3 tardies are considered an absence. I'm being honest, stick to the program and put in 100%. Study study study. Pay attention to detail. Pay attention to every email, every announcement . Most of this info you will be notified on either orientation day or first day of class. If you have any other questions I can try to answer them for you.
Hello, I am a current student at San Jacinto College. I started this fall'18. If you have any questions,I'll be more than happy to answer. . .
Hi Sarah, can you share how much it costs and the initial investment (scrubs, books, miscellaneous supplies, etc.) I realize cost is different for in-district and out of district, but I'm trying to get a ballpark. I have the list of classes; is it just the regular credit hour rate? What about lab fees? Any other fees?
Someone asked at our orientation and they said the cost is different for everyone.
If you can send me your email I can send you a list of the supply list and price you will need. First semester you will need two books ranging from $300-$600.I recommend you getting a rental or used book. I saw no difference in both new and used books except spending more money. There is a hesi test ( the hesi is a test you will take every session). First time for hesi you will pay $120 than after that you will pay I believe $90 every semester. Uniforms and supplies cost me $450. That was not including the stethoscope. I got lucky and took the one my sister had. The stethoscope is around $100+. For the scrubs and supplies you will pay regular price being in district or out of district. In regards to the classes I believe you pay $30 extra for out of district . There is a general fee you pay every semester which is $150. There are other fees including lab fees ranging from 6-$12. I highly advise you to apply for financial aid and if you are not qualified, apply for scholarships. Anything helps. I hope I have answered all your questions and if not please let me k ow
