hey guys! i was just curious about which option (a or b) everyone is using for their applications. i chose option a, my sat score. i have a 1540 and i was hoping that would be good enough.
does anyone know their recent cut off sat/ actscore?
and another thing, are the background/ drug checks part of your application, or do you wait for notification, like other schools?
help!!!!! (please)
it really just depends on who applies for the application period you are applying for. it might get you in if others acts are around yours or it might not if others have higher scores. there is never really a set number where you can say for sure if it will get you in unless you just have a really really high score. i would suggest applying with both options A and B. It doesnt hurt you to apply with both. I applied with both and they take whichever one is going to help you most. if your act is high for that application period they will take that score or if your gpa is high for that application period they will take that one instead. good luck.
also if there is a chance to retake your act and have your score back before the application period your applying for it wouldnt hurt to retake it. usually you score better the second time if you review for the test and try some practice ones (they can be found online or in the book they give you when you register for the ACT. )
I'm applying to San Jac for the Fall 09 semester and now I'm worried I won't get accepted. With them my overall GPA is 3.5 (but I haven't sent my transcripts from my other schools yet). I'm taking both BIOL's and Math 1333 this summer (the receptionist said that as long as they were complete before the Fall started I could still get accepted). I already have my TB shot from my work and I'm going to see if they can do my Hep B series or at least get it started.
I think my ACT score was 21 (I didn;t take the test very seriously at the time, this was 10yrs ago).
I was also thinking of applying to Lee but they only accept once a year. I think Kingwood is the same way.
Any suggestions on who to take for BIO, I've had bad luck with the prof's at Lee.
i got in with my act score of 25. i had already finished all pre-reqs and all non nursing classes with mostly B's and a few A's. the drug test and background check is part of the application. you'll need to turn in the receipt for those when you turn in your application. if you look at the nursing application papers...it will tell you where you need to go for the drug test and where to get the background check.
Hi, congrats! was wondering what was your GPA? THNX!

Did you already apply for this spring or are you applying this spring for the Fall? Well, San Jac doesn't have an entrance exam. But If I were you, I would get your shots (Hep. B's and all) done and out of the way. And San Jac requires the background/drug test as part as the application too.
