So I'm creating this post for all applicant to the San Jacinto nursing program for fall of 2014! I'm so excited to begin this journey after a lot of thought of whether i should do LVN or ADN and i have finally made my mind up. Good luck to you all! Do you mind sharing where you are in the process. Only been back in Houston for 2 months and have made my check list of what i need to complete before 05/01/14.:)
i want text books lol ... i already ordered my foundation book and i am gonna buy the packet with the rest as physical and foundations as a e book ... i rather have a book to look at than e books ...
I'm so glad I found this! I am currently taking my pre req's, at what point are you suppose to take your HESI entrance exam? And at what point are you suppose to apply for the RN program? After you have completed all your pre req's? Every counselor at San Jac has given me a different answer. Please help!
I am also very nervous about all digital books! I was wishingthey would have provided a list as well.
What also scared me is not being able to pick my schedule! Clinical is one thing- 1day a week I can manage whatever. But 5 days a week is another story! The logistics of working my home life around a. 1-3/5 pm schedule is unsettling to me. I'm just praying for the AM classes
Has anyone been able to access the blackboard site for the faculty/admin? I have tried, I'm new to blackboard but I only see one in "San jac life" for central and it has zero information on it.
I am with you prhollaway6965, there was an overwhelming amount of info given. I have a 4yr old starting prek this fall and I have no idea how my schedule is going to work either. I am thankfull that my family is offering to help me, but I cant rely on them for everything.
About blackboard, when I searched for adn on sanjacklife there where for different options. I choose the third option which was the central campus rnsg-adn. I emailed Professor Taylor and she said they have not uploaded any info yet. I also asked her about the all digital books package (price and list). She said that as soon as she has an answer she will inform me.

I just looked at those 4 options for adn under San Jac Life and there are drop down arrows next to some of them that have the option to enroll. Do yall know if we are supposed to click click enroll and submit that request?
Under the course schedules tab, there is a folder for Fall 2014. I clicked it and there is a couple pages of excel spreadsheets with names. Is that for us? My name is not on there so I am not 100% sure of it is for us or not.
I don't believe this is for us but I could be wrong. If you look at the class names they don't match with the classes we are suppose to take this semester. From what I understood, we are taking Fundamentals for Nursing and Health Assessment.
