San Jac ADN fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

With the deadline for the fall semester quickly approaching, I wanted to go ahead and create a forum. I am freaking out, I'm sure like many others about my acceptance!

I wanted to post my stats:

AP 1: B

AP 2: B

enlish: B

Micro: In progress

hesi: 90% overall

san jac gpa: 3.41

but I do have other transcripts to calculate in

I'm not 100% of my rubric score because of the gpa calculations and my micro grade.

I submitted my app today! Best of luck to everyone :)

Thanks so much! Anybody applying to both north & central, & if so, which one is your 1st pick? North was my 1st pick initially bc I'm closer to it, but I just saw that their NCLEX pass rate is not that great & the program is newer. I'm not even in at any yet but it is a bit concerning & I may be considering driving a bit more to go to Central bc their NCLEX pass rate is over 5.5% higher/:

Central is a better fit for me, closer to me and better nclex rates.

Submitted my application for North on Monday! Everything on Castle Branch is in, so now all I can do is pray and hope we all get the results we need!

I just submitted my application today to the north campus; I was number 104 on the applicant sign-in sheet! It seems like there's going to be a lot of applicants this period 😩

Rubric score: 17

Prereq Gpa: 3.3

Overall Gpa: 2.57 (prev bachelor's)

Hesi: 88.4

I have a few more tasks to complete on castle branch. I'm so nervous because my score overall gpa are pretty low! Does anybody know how many they accept at the north campus?

I read 90-100 people get in.

At the info session, they said 100 get accepted to Central and about 40 to North.

Was attending the info session a requirement?

No, I don't believe so. Other's like HCC make you submit proof you attended if it is.

For central or north? Or is that both campuses combined?

That's it? Now I'm even more worried :(

Castlebrach says I need a MMR titer, but the employee health nurse at my hospital says I have already received 2 vaccines in the past. I can no longer get anymore. I hope this doesnt hurt my chance in getting in.

I'm going through something similar; my MMR titer came back equivocal so I had to repeat the vaccine series and now get another titer. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to upload another titer by the deadline. I'll be uploading my 2nd titer as soon as the results come in. I hope this doesn't affect my chances of getting in either. I emailed the nursing dept so they can make note of it on my application packet.
