San Diego City College - Fall 2024 Generic ADN

Published

Hey guys! I haven't seen anyone make a post for this years SDCC cohort yet so here it is. How is everyone feeling about their application? Any idea what they expect for the point system? I'm coming in at about 84 or 85/100 so I'm somewhat confident. I'm assuming it's gonna take a bit for them to process the apps so we'll see. To anyone that has gone to workshops feel free to drop any helpful info below!

Maybe they are sending them out in batches, I finally got an email this morning with an update.

Today is 12th. Any news from them??

I still don't have any email update.

Nope, not on my end. They are responding to my email inquiring about if a waitlist is even a thing at the college but no update or letter. ?

Did they say if they offer the waitlist?

No they don't. Apparently they haven't had a wait list in a really long time. I was only inquiring because I kept hearing coworkers talking about how they were on a City college waitlist for a couple years, which didn't make sense LOL

I also applied and reached out today and they responded that letters will go out by the end of this week! Good luck to you all!

Same spoke with someone yesterday I'm assuming today and tomorrow is when letters go out! Good luck to everyone ?

Hi everyone! Just out of curiosity, how many of you thought at first when you applied that you were applying to Spring 2024? Did any of you also apply to other places for Spring and got in or I'm the only one who thought this for a long time? LOL I did get into another Spring start program so I would give up my seat if I get accepted to San Diego I just am curious :)) Goodluck to all ?

Does anyone know how the multicritera point system has changed from past years? I heard somebody say that. Just curious.

@MSJC08I applied in Early Sept for Fall 2024, at least that's what the website said. Congrats btw!

@toriannanelms so I noticed that this year around, City's point system is really in favor of people with education + experience vs high scores and GPA. Last cycle I applied, they gave you more points depending on what percentage you scored on the TEAS whereas now it's as long as you passed a certain percentage.

Interesting! Curious to see whether or not that would raise or lower the bar points-wise.
