San Diego City College (SDCC) ADN - Fall 2026

Hey you guys! I haven't seen a thread for this cohort yet so I just wanted to start one. I saw online that this is the first year that they're rolling out the lottery system which will be interesting to see.

Thanks for starting the thread! I am somewhat confused with the lottery system tbh. Do you know how it will work? I'm not sure if it's all lottery and points even matter at this point or certain number of highest points are accepted and the rest lottery...I plan to go to either the 9/16 or 10/14 information session to find out more.

Hi there! I've asked this question to someone from the nursing department and was told that once you meet their minimal requirements and eligible for the lottery - points don't matter. Just a matter of luck I suppose 🤞🍀

That's good to know, thanks! I was hoping it was different but oh well. Best of luck to us all! Did your email also say they will begin reviewing applications approximately 90 days after the close date? I was confused because that means they'd take longer than I thought to get back to us 😭

Yeah , it won't be fast for sure 🤪

I think it's a crazy amount of time to wait considering it's random lottery. Especially compared to other programs which are giving 30-60 day turn around times. I guess we will see! Good luck everyone!

No, I don't think they'll get back to us until mid December. I went to the info session and 517 people applied and they plan to send emails once fall semester ends🫠

Oh wow, thank you for letting me know. I've been checking every day since Grossmond and Palomar started sending out responses.

Damn, mid-December. That's not for a while😭 I tried Palomar and Grossmont and unfortunately, didn't get accepted. Good luck to all of us !
