I got accepted into the program. I actually forgot about SDCC because it was the last school I was hearing back out if 25 which I got denied from 24 of them, so I just didn’t think I was getting in.
I was literally about to sign a lease tomorrow for a place in Buffalo, New York because I got accepted into a 3 year BSN program. I just went to the school today to sign up for classes but haven’t given them any money yet.
What do you know about SDCC? Does anyone know the exact cost? Do they have concurrent BSN programs with other schools so I can get my BSN in 3 years? Is it a good school?
I know it’ll be $11k at most for the ADN at San Diego City College probably, but that doesn’t get my BSN. This other school in New York is a private school and it will be $70k. My boyfriends family lives in Buffalo and he has a ton of friends here.
I would appreciate any input on what you think I should do:) the rent is more expensive in San Diego but school is cheaper. I get an ADN in San Diego but a BSN in New York. What’s the better choice here?
Thank You! ?
The school is about 8k for an associate degree in San Diego. I have lived in San Diego before and rented a room for 500 dollars in a good area. ( I got very lucky ). Most hospitals hire with a BSN but they are willing to pay for your school once you are hired. I have a lot of nurse friends in San Diego so I was told this. Will you have any support in San Diego ? I was also denied from two other schools and got very lucky with SD. Currently , I’m living in Las Vegas and will be moving back to SD next year. I will roommate again while im in the program. My nursing program will be free cause I’m a California resident ( I graduated high school and university from Cali ) . I also have money saved up. This route is cheaper for me ? Good luck ?

Estimated cost is approximately $8800.00 for the two-year duration of the program. A physical examination completed by a primary health care provider, necessary immunizations, laboratory tests, background check and urine drug screening, are to be completed at the student's expense prior to beginning nursing courses. (Currently enrolled students may use Student Health Services). Designated uniforms, textbooks, instructional supplies, travel to clinical, gas expenses to and from clinical sites and Assessment Technology Institute (ATI) learning resources are the major cost items.
