San Diego City College ADN FALL 2018

Published

Hi Everyone,

The application for SD City College ADN is soon to end!

I kinda wanted to create a topic for SD City College Fall 2018 applicants. If you can, please share your possible points. I am looking into getting 85-87 points. Do I have a chance of getting in?

THANKS EVERYONE!

Hello, I've been looking for a thread of 2018 City College Nursing application for a long time. Thank you for creating it. Your score is quite high. I hope you can get in. And also wish I have a sliver of a chance to get in the program with only 72-73 pts? If not, will retake my physiology and get some volunteer hours to get a total extra 10 pts.

Did you go to one of the application workshops? The facilitator said to get at least 70 points. She said that a lot of people will get accepted somewhere else and will withdraw their acceptance from SD city. I believe she said that last year's average was 70. So definitely turn in your application!

I went the workshop in September and it made me stress a lot. It seems everyone gets a score above mid-70s. Anyway, I submitted my application package yesterday. Wait the decision after Jan 1st.

Highly likely yo will

Yes from what I hear you need a 70or better to be looked at.

I think you have a pretty good chance of getting in. I'm looking at about 80-82 points depending on the life experience section, so hopefully that's good enough. I think it depends on the pool of applicants and what points everyone else is getting.

I submitted mine #38.

My point is 76. I hope I get accepted!

The stress is killing me I am working extra hours so I can stay distracted.

I submitted my application on Monday (second to the last day of deadline) and I am #101 applicant. I was surprised because I thought I will be #300 or something applicant.

Is city your first choice?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone on this forum could help me with a question. Did you guys submit an official transcript for classes taken outside of SDCCD with the application, aside from the official transcripts that had to be sent to the evaluation department (& request to have them evaluated)...

I know a copy of an official transcript has to be accompanied with the submitted application if you want to receive points for AA, bachelor's degree etc, but I'm not too sure with outside pre-reqs and the fix set classes. I was led to believe that you just need unofficial transcripts to submit with the application (unless you have a degree, then you submit another copy of official transcript along with the application).

Anyway, the reason I ask is because it says one thing on the application and another on the checklist. I emailed the nursing department 3 times but never received a response or didn't get a straight answer.

I submitted my application Oct. 31. Best of luck to everyone who applied!
