San Bernardino Valley College Nursing spring 2018

Published

Hey everyone

whether you are an alumni, already in the nursing program or are int he same boat as me and just applied to SBVC nursing for the spring 2018 semester coming up, i would like to hear your insight!

What were your points when you were accepted or when you applied? What was your science GPA? How are you liking the program, if you are already accepted.

ANY insight would be amazing!! I'm in the process of just waiting to hear back and its killing me, so id like to see where i stand with other applicants!

thank you!!!!!

I have also applied for the spring semester. This waiting is killing me. I have a friend who just started this fall at SBVC. She had a science of 3.5 and scored 89 on Hesi. She had 4.00 general gpa. I heard that if we get invited to take the Hesi then you have a shot at getting in. If you are not invited to take test then better luck next semester.

Thank you so much for replying back! Have you started studying for the hesi? What is your science gpa if you don't mind me asking :)

When do they send invitations for the hesi?

I applied for Spring 2018 and currently waiting.

If a student get's invited for the hesi, how long do they have to the test date?

I have not started studying for the hesi. Even though I should. I applied at CBU as well and took the PAX exam there. Not enough time. I had to hurry through it without thinking. lol... My science is not great. I am at a 2.92 which stinks because if I had the 3.0 I would get an additional 5 points. I heard some people who got invited the hesi had 2 weeks before they took the test. Many have said study little bit everyday for a few months.

When I had asked they said mid october-ish

So pretty soon. I'm gonna probably buy the book tomorrow and study some everyday

I took the hesi at west coast university when I was gonna go there and I got in the 90s so I'm hoping I can do that again!!

How is your science gpa?

It's okay I'm sure you will get invited!!! Most people with 4.0 are applying to universities as well. Just start studying for that hesi exam!

Your friend who got in last semester, do you know how much points she had when she got accepted?

I believe my science GPA is a 3.0.

I want to apply for CBU but it has to be for the fall term.

I definitely need to start studying for the hesi.

I recently bought the 3rd edition of the book and I hope it's enough but I don't know.

You will need the hesi A2 study guide

Also cbu is good just really expensive and you have to attend their school for a semester before you can apply I don't know if you are aware

I also applied for the spring. For both the generic ADN and bridge program. I am so nervous to hear back I can hardly stand it!

Yay so exciting

What are your stats like if you don't mind sharing! Just trying to get an idea of around where I am!

Yes, I am aware of staying at CBU a semester before applying.

That's also another reason why I delayed applying before, but now i'll include it.

Just want to have a lot of options when I apply.
