hi. i work at llumc and i love it. i am a sci-rehab nurse. the great thing about the hospital is the belief of making the person whole. mind , body and soul. on my unit i work with nurses who actually gather together before each shift begins and have worship together. (we give thanks, ask for guidance and read from a daily devotional). i have never seen this in any other hospital. it gives more meaning to the day. by the way, i commute 1hr and 15min each way, so it must be a great place to work!!
Thanx for your reply nursemoonchild. I am interviewing next month @ LLUMC and I'm quite nervous. Glad to hear that it's a supportive env't. Wow...that is quite a commute so I can see that it must be a good place to work. Alot of time when there is a big hospital system like this, things tend to be very disorganized and confusing. Do you feel that way about LLUMC? Or is there good communication between the various departments, especially from top to down. Thanx!

WOW! Never heard of a hospital staff that does this. This sounds like a place that I would LOVE to work. I am currently in my last semester of my LVN program, and will be looking for a place to work as an LVN while I go to school to get my RN ed. Do you have any advice? Do you have the full name and address of this great hospital so I can look into it? Thanks. You can e-mail me if you like.
