I wish I would have saw your post earlier before I posted mine today /.\ lol well I did get an email saying congratulations with the packet they attached in the email regarding acceptance. Have you heard from them besides the email? I haven't received a paper mailed letter regarding the acceptance I wonder if they do send one? Hopefully we can keep in touch while we go through this process. Best wishes (:

Hi Ashleyy3!! I received the email that said congratulations and the attached pdf files! They do not send out paper acceptance letters. I emailed Anita and she said don't wait for the BON info! She said it will come later and you can give it to them then. Go turn in everything else as soon as you can! And yes I would love to stay in touch as we go through this together!! We have the same name so we're already friends haha (:

Haha im glad to hear from you, because I don't know anyone else that got into the program /.\ lol I also asked the lady's in the office I'm really not sure who I talked to but they told me Monday when I went that I wasn't able to turn the packet in because I didn't have the blue postcard from the BON and didn't have my cpr certification /: they said it has to be completed. Im going to try to get a hold of Anita. Did you turn it in to her or to who? I've already completed the drug screening as well on Monday. Also do you know if SAC will send us info on how to start the background check? What have you completed from the packet? Thanks for the info and hope to start this nursing journey together! (:

Hey Ashleyy3!! I am going to take my drug screening today. How long dis it take for your results? I emailed Anita about the BON and she said to turn everything else in before the blue postcard gets here. I will probably just take the stuff to her. They already sent our info to the BON for our background check. Another lady told me that you find out at orientation if you passed the background check or not. I will have everything completed after I get my drug screen today. We should definitely keep in touch and meet up on orientation!

Hey and I'm not sure how it works for the drug screening, because when I went it was a long line very long. I'd say go early morning right when they open. As soon as I went to the restroom they had my paperwork ready (a paper you get to keep) so I take it as if they don't mark it down if your positive or not? Maybe they send the results directly to the school? But when I went Monday they revised my packet and the lady was reading the drug screen paper they gave me she said "negative good" lol so I'm not to sure maybe ask when you get yours done something I should have done lol. Do you have your cpr completed as well? And I would most definitely like to keep in touch for orientation (:

Where are you going to go for the CPR class? And yeah I think im going to turn mine in as soon as im done with this drug test lol

I'm going to CPR Heart of Angels on Wurzbach Rd. I signed up for the Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers. I'm worried now, because I talked to the lady that's the secretary in the nursing department. I asked her if the BLS for Health Care Providers would meet the CPR requirement and she told me no. So then I asked the lady's who checked my paperwork to see if everything was right if it would meet the CPR requirement and they said yes that it's basically the same thing. I made a call today to Anita and she told me yes to. So I hope It does meet the requirement /: what is yours called? On the American Heart Association they only had the options of "Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED" & "BLS for Health Care Providers"

Mine is the BLS for healthcare providers! You have nothing to worry about (: you should be good to go with that one.

Omg thank god im a little relieved you have it to lol I'm over here making calls, on google, etc just to make sure haha. Also where did you attend school for your pre-reqs. If you don't mind me asking? (:
