I personally heard a lot of good things and I plan to commute from SJ. I'm too broke to form or live around Oakland

How far is it from you? I will be commuting from a little north of Marin, so opposite direction. I'm considering finding a room depending on the days/times of classes

It's about 1hr to 1hr 30mins depending on traffic. SJ to Oakland is about 40 miles. The dorms through SMU are about $1000 per month I think.

No word on in person orientation. The online orientation is in your SMU portal. Start date is July 29
