HI! I just wanted to start a thread to see if anyone also applied to SMU for 2024 Fall. I haven't seen a thread on it yet
Hey ya'll! So I applied to the BSN program in Oakland and Admissions said they should know something by the end of March and then I emailed her again and she said just keep watching my email for the next 3 weeks. So what I'm thinking happened is because they took the HESI test requirement away, they had an influx of applicants. So let's say if that test eliminated like 40% of their applicants, everyone now who's interested could've just applied so they are going through way more applications then they regularly would have. That's just my little hypothesis. 😊 Let me know what ya'll think? Good luck to everyone and I did the Nursing Seminar In 2023.
I just received an update email. I'll copy and paste it here.
"This is an update regarding decisions for the Fall 2024 BSN program.
We expect to receive decisions from the faculty by late April/early May, but please keep in mind that the admission timeline is fluid. We are unable to provide any additional application status information. Admission decisions will be sent via email.
While waiting for the decision for Fall 2024 BSN cohort, you are encouraged to prepare and submit your application to the Spring 2025 BSN cohort by the July 1 deadline.
Thank you for your patience during this process. We do apologize for the delay.”

Hoping they don't care about TEAS, which is why they didn't make it a requirement.
