Samuel Merritt University ELMSN FNP/CM - 2025

Hello everyone! I wanted to start a forum for those applying to the ELMSN FNP or CM program at Samuel Merritt for 2025!  I am currently applying to the ELMSN FNP in Sacramento which should be starting in January 2025. If anyone is also applying (either location) for the beginning of 2025 please reply and share any thoughts and questions! 🙂

I haven't gotten an update yet. I did email them my first and second choice of dates and times, immediately once I got the email.

Same! 

Going off the email, she said 12 people per session so there is 6 sessions according to the times, so 72 interviewees?

3rd and 4th. I did end up calling the person that sent out the interview emails because at first they labeled it as Fall 2024 for Oakland which was a mistake. She called me back to clarify and also she would put me down for my desired date but IDK which date it will be.

Typically the emails arnt sent in waves. If they don't have enough people interview they do send out like a last minute Hail Mary email to get people to interview and accept. That was the case last Fall cycle! 

Hello, 

I was selected to interview and I found this site and have been reading your comments. I think you mentioned you were accepted twice into both programs. Do you remember any of the interview questions for the FNP interview? I haven't been the best with interviews in the past, but I've improved as long as I'm well-prepared. 

I also read that you are currently enrolled, how do you like it so far?

I too have received the email yesterday to pick an interview date but haven't yet heard back from them. Did any of you get their confirmation email with their chosen dates and times?

Also, would any of you be interested in meeting online for a pre-interview discussion once we've confirmed our interview dates?

Hi!! & no I haven't gotten a confirmation email w/ the date and time yet. I was thinking about calling but I don't want to slow down the process.

Thanks for your responses! There is comfort in knowing over trying to guess what's happening.

I suppose it's safe to assume that we'll hear from them soon. The delay must be because they have to get all 72 of us scheduled based on our picks.

I haven't heard back either. hopefully soon! if we don't hear back by the end of the week then I'd say it would be appropriate to reach out.
