Hi Everyone,
I started a thread a couple of days ago but the title was vague so I hope this attracts more readers and future SMU applicants! I am applying for the Fall 2013 cohort for case management and wanted to start a thread like other cohorts to meet other applicants and support each other during the "waiting period"! :) This is my first time applying to grad school/nursing program so everything is new, exciting, and terrifying! I am finishing up my BA in Human Development and hope to continue on towards my dreams by getting into this program.
I just added the "Samuel Merritt University ELMSN 2013" group on Facebook. I hope this is the right group since the only Case Management group I could find was an alumni group. For some reason, I am unable to send private messages through allnurses.com so if someone could message me the link to the Facebook group that would be greatly appreciated! :)
Hello All, I, maybe unlike many of you, just found out about this program being available in Sacramento this past Mar.2013. So I decided to take a chance and turn in an application for the ELMSN-CM program Spring-2014 here in Sac. I have been knocking my head against a brick wall ever since...Im just so nervous, I mean this seems to be my perfect option seeing as I have a B.S. in biological sciences, yet now im coming into road blocks like the TEAS examination, I have to drive all the way to UC Stanislaus just to take it. I also have to take nutrition and cultural anthropology and an extra human and anatomy course. With all that to do, Im still turning in my application by July 1st. I guess its like my mother said anything worth working for takes time and persistence. I believe I am up for the challenge. Just wanted to share my little rant with others possibly going through similar situations. Good luck all you future MSN-CMs or FNPs we are the wave of the future and may this career change keep us happy and successful for the rest of our lifetime. Peace.

I think they must send them out in waves.bwhich is weird but I guess they don't do one email for all Case Management students. I received mine only yesterday, so maybe that's why I have until the 13th?
