Hello! I am applying for the Sacramento campus' ELM FNP program and I was wondering who else is applying for this program? My GPA isn't the greatest because I got a C in micro which I am planning on retaking but not until after the app is due :/ what do other people's GPA look like?
Hey Lisa.. Well last year I went to oaklands group interview ... It was different from any other I been! So first U had partners and had to introduce each other to the committee. Then we got into groups and had to come up with our "ideal clinic" . It was a lot of group work and you have to stand out. I haven't heard anything from them yet I hope I get an interview soon ! I also remember that we got paper to write on and turned in what our ideal qualities are in a nurse .
Lol, it's this coming Sat from 10-noon. I believe it's a group interview. Not sure how those go!
Hi LisaQ, I had an interview last Saturday. It is a group interview multi-panel with multiple applicants. Use your experience to think about the group issues they give you. I heard they are doing interviews rounds for the next couple of months on weekends. Let me know how yours goes!! GL!
Has anyone heard anything from Samuel Merritt yet!?
Hey hchumbar, my stats are GPA 3.68 (for all pre-reqs/most recent) , TEAS adjusted 81.3% (national rank 90, percentile program rank 81). Would have done better on the TEAS, but I completely lost track of time on the reading portion and missed like 6 q's w/o even attempting them.
I have lots of clinical experience with hands on patient diagnostics and procedures since I worked a lot throughout college and after. I try to convey my passion for nursing as much as could during the interview, all I can hope is they understood. Now biting nails waiting to hear their decisions! ...Would you mind sharing yours?

Of course! I have a 3.59 GPA not sure what my science GPA is but it's all A's and B's.. I never calculated it. I scored a 91% overall on TEAS. I graduated in March from UC Davis and had internships at the UCD medical center and after graduating I did a Certified Nursing Assistant course. At the time of applying all my paid job experience was non healthcare related and I finally found a job as a home care aide but this was after already having applied. Haven't heard anything back from them but I have already gotten accepted to Azusa Pacific University so I guess it's alright. I just feel like I haven't done enough stuff to prepare me for grad school if I didn't get an interview here. However I am in love with AZusa Pacific as well :) these were my top two school choices
