its also heartbreaking to find out its a false alarm .... oh no .. whatever Gods plan ill go to his desire and plan.

that's why I end up thinking I was admitted..

yes , yesterday .. hoping not a false hope.. but I've read previous absn Summer 2024 two students experienced same thing and luckily they are both admitted .

I do not think that is false hope! I have also read previous threads from people who took classes at SMU and had a similar experience, and they could see their acceptance ahead of time! Congratulations!!

Out of curiosity does anyone's checklist say "Congratulations your application is under review" vs "your application is under review"? I'm reading previous cohorts' threads and looks like that could be an indicator

Hi,

I applied for smu Absn Spring 25. I was told by a counselor that decisions should be in within 10-12 weeks of the application deadline date. Has anyone heard back from smu or got a decision yet? Just curious to how long it takes to get a decision.

Hi there. I also applied for the same program. My counselor told me 2-3 months so assuming the same time frame. If we base their decision off of the weeks you were given it would put us from now until the end of September. It would be wonderful to hear back soon. I've had three friends in the program and all of them heard from admissions in mid October. I really hope that doesn't happen. Good luck to all of us.

I emailed a few weeks ago and they did say to start checking emails in September. I don't want to risk bothering them again, but maybe someone else can reach out to their counselor to find out any updates on decision timing. 🤷🏻‍♀️
