I am a prospective student for Samuel Merritt University for the cohort starting in Spring 2014. Campus of choice is San Mateo. I am considering the ELMSN-NP program as well since the prereqs are identical.

1. I was seeking information on TEAS test experience. What is the cut off for this test to get in? I have to take this test within the next few weeks in order to make the July 1st cutoff application. (I wanted to take this test after I finished my prereqs which will be completed by Sept 14th) Currently I am finishing up A&P I lecture/lab and Nutrition courses within the next 2 weeks, also currently taking Microbiology lecture/lab which will be complete by Aug 24th and signed up for A&P II lecture lab, Pathophysiology, and Pharmacology courses starting at the end of June and ending Sept 14th 2014 to make me 100% complete. I am currently making an A in all the courses attempting now. I have an undergrad gpa of 3.1 and science gpa of 3.5

I am currently on the east coast and have been serving in the military for 6 years. I lived in Orange County prior to joining for 6 months and have visited California numerous times and loved every second of it so I know this is where I want to end up, hence is why I am applying for programs out there.

I also wanted to know about anyones experience in previous cohorts at any of the campuses for both ABSN and ELMSN programs.

If anyone else is applying for Spring 2014 please respond to this thread as well that way we can get to know each other somewhat and give a chance to those that get accepted to start networking. Wish everyone the best of luck!!

They said they will get back to us by the end of the month. I really hope they like people with very strong science backgrounds.

Anyone who interviewed for the Sac ELMSN NP program hear anything? During the interview they said they would start notifying people at the beginning of this week.

Hi lyssa_3. Haven't heard anything, but during the interview they stated that we would know the final decisions by the end of this month. I believe they still have to meet with the Dean of the Post-FNP program to discuss candidates before making decisions. I would think we should hear something sometime on Wednesday. This is just a guess.

Last year's thread there were students that heard 4 days after the last day of the interviews. I am definitely anxious.

Had my ELMSN CM interview yesterday...not sure how I feel about it. I was less nervous than I anticipated and thought it would be a much harder interview. Any body else have similar thoughts on their interview? We had a writing sample too.

Hey everyone! This thread has been really helpful! I had my interview on 9/23 for the ELMSN CM program and still anxiously waiting for the call/email. The interview was definitely intimidating and not what I expected. Does anyone know how many applicants there are for spring 2014? And how many have been granted a spot?

On page 10, laraymundo (so?) was accepted. Not sure on how many applicants for CM.

Hi and Congrats laraymundo! I was also accepted into the CM program!!! I also applied to the FNP track so I am waiting to hear the decision, no word yet but the deposit is due in a few days. Does anyone know the salary for CM in Sacramento/California in general? I am just wondering how long it may take to pay that loan back haha. I'm sure it's worth it but I had to ask.

Is the deposit $350 for both the ABSN and ELMSN program?
