I just found out that I was accepted to Samuel Merritt's MSN-FNP track for Summer '17. I looked on here for feedback about the online MSN-FNP program but found stuff mostly related to the ABSN or ELMSN program. Does anyone have any feedback on the online MSN program? Is anyone planning on enrolling in this class?

Hey there, I just enrolled into the online MSN FNP program at Samuel Merritt. Did you decide if you want to enroll or not yet? I am also looking for more info on this particular online program and was not able to find much info. I am wondering, are we going to have a white coat ceremony like the other on-campus cohorts? And also will there be any labs on campus? If anyone knows more info, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Have you contacted an admissions counselor with your questions? Or have you had your onboarding call with the student support manager? Either of them should be able to answer those questions. Do you live in the Bay Area? I do and I'm curious how many people who enroll will be local to the school.

Yes, I am from the east Bay Area. Are you from Bay Area? I have been in contact with an enrollment representative but they said they've never heard of a white coat ceremony. I know that the ELMSN cohort in Sacramento has one because I've seen it on their instagram page, but haven't heard anything about the online group. The enrollment rep said all labs may be online but I just wanted to be sure. I haven't had my onboarding appointment yet, but hopefully they can answer some of my questions. Are you going to be working while in the program?

I am also from the Bay Area and live on the Peninsula. As far as I've heard, the program is 100% online and will not have any labs on campus.

I won't be working while in the program. I have two young children and volunteer at a crisis center and am on the Board at my son's school so my schedule will be fairly full. Are you going to work? Are you doing the program FT or PT?

Oh ok cool. I currently work part time, 4 nights/week, and will continue to work while in the program. I will try enrolling into the program full time and see how it goes. I just had my onboarding appointment today and they said it should be manageable, so hopefully all goes well. They said we will not be having a white coat ceremony, which I really wanted to have :( Anyways, good luck to you in the program!

Hi, congrats on being accepted to SMU FNP. I start next month, Sept 11. How do you like it so far? BTw, there will be a white coat ceremony for us held in Oakland.
