Hi everyone,
I did not see a post for the Spring 2012 ELMSN - FNP program in Sacramento, so I thought I would start one for all the hopeful FNPs.
A little about me:
My name is Jennifer and I live in Rancho Cordova. I have two young boys, 3 years old and 9 months, and this is the first year I am applying to the ELMSN FNP program. I have an undergraduate and graduate degree in Health Administration/Education and realized I want more patient interaction. So, here I am hoping I get accepted.
Best of luck to all the applicants!!
Hey everyone,
Congratulations to everyone who got accepted! I got the call on September 13th for acceptance as well.
Has anyone received an e-mail about the orientation or know when we should be receiving it? I remember Professor Teri Gwin mentioning we have to have a PPD shot and be CPR certified before november 14th... was there anything else she mentioned? Thanks! Looking forward to seeing my future classmates!

nktrewn,
Congratulations! You will receive a follow-up email regarding formal acceptance of the early admit offer, as well a tuition deposit. Your email, portal, etc. accounts will be set up subsequently.

Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted so far, and for those who were not, my advice would be to continue to volunteer and/or take another class from a community college, to improve your GPA/experience/application, and to apply again next year. Many students in the past have been accepted on their second try.
nktrewn, you should receive an email/mail about orientation in a few weeks or so, the required things needed before orientation when I started at SMU a few years back was a physical, immunizations (TDAP, MMR, etc), PPD, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association.
Hi Sanawit,
I see you are looking for a place to live. I was just wondering if you have found a place yet? I was accepted into the ELMSN program and I am looking for a roommate to rent out one of my guest bedrooms in my house. I live in a really cute house in a safe neighborhood.I am extremely clean and organized. I have a room with its own bathroom available (my house has a pool/spa and internet included). I was hoping to rent it out for about 600/month with utilities/cable/internet included into that price. Let me know if you would be interested.
Thanks!
Stacey

I doubt that you'll need to worry about it next year. Your waitlist number is great, and I think you'll get in.
