First post here, it will be time to submit applications by December 1st. I am almost done with my application and am just starting this thread to see if anyone else is applying to the Fall 2018 program? Lets get a good thread started so we can keep each other updated on interviews and acceptance!

It was an email! I heard CM is email and FNP is phone calls, some even got calls as late as 8pm last year!

I just called the office of admissions because I had zero correspondence from them. The gentlemen stated they received my application and they are still reviewing applications. I suppose we are still just waiting. I did not receive the email stating they completed initial review.

Hi All,

Just joining the thread to share stats and updates!

My stats are as follows:

Undergrad GPA: 3.28

Post-BA GPA: 4.00

Overall GPA: 3.46

HESI Scores: Math-98; Grammar-96; Vocab-96; Reading-96; Anatomy-76 (I hadn't taken Physio yet when I took my HESI!)

GRE Scores: Verbal-158, 80th percentile; Quantitative-153, 51%; Analytical Writing-5, 93%

I started working as a CNA in Jan 2018, got my license in summer 2017 but didn't work until I was done w/ full-time school finishing up SMU's Pre-Req's. I have volunteer experience from the Napa-Sonoma Fires and food bank volunteer; but nothing more medical-related. I worked 4 years in pharmaceuticals in the lab, my bachelor's is in biochem/molecular biology.

I got the "Confirmation of Preliminary Review" email Jan 22nd. Checking my inbox and spam folder every day/twice a day! Good luck to us all and hope to have positive updates soon!

The ABSN folks are getting notified about their acceptance this week. A friend of mine just found out this morning she got in.

What area code did they call you from? Unfortunately, I receive spam callers frequently and I want to make sure I'm not filtering SMU's calls.

It was a 510 area code! She said that she'll be sending out an email on Thursday regarding the interview process. So I'm sure the calls will be spread out!

I recieved a call from Claudia today but i was not able to speak to her as i was driving, i told her i would call back but i think she was gone for the day. Hoping it was good news
