Yes I am definitely attending! I got accepted to a few other programs too but Oakland is my top choice! Also, does anyone know the format/structure for the first yr? I heard that it was remote?
Wow that’s amazing good for you! & yay see you there!
As for the format.. during my interview the student who was on his 6th semester said he heard it would be hybrid but the student on her 2nd semester said she hadn’t heard of the format changing from online yet, so I don’t know.

I got the call Monday and the acceptance email today! Okay! For those on the waitlist, don’t give up. We were given two weeks to make a decision and a lot of other schools are handing out their decisions this week and next week so there is plenty of time.

Hi! Yes, I'll share!
Here are my stats:
TEAS: 88.0% overall (78.7% reading, 100% math, 85.1% science, 87.5% english/language)
Science GPA: 4.0
Overall GPA: 3.23
Last 60 units: not sure, but I'm I think its higher than my overall because my last few semesters were 4.0's.
Volunteer Hours: none - (I volunteered when I was 16 at a hospital for about a year but only once a week for like 2-4 hours)
Healthcare volunteer/work : I did 100 clinical hours during CNA training, but never worked in healthcare (I was a server)
Letters of Rec. - Organic Chemistry Professor, Hematology Professor, CNA Professor (healthcare)
***I put my heart and soul into my personal statement / made it more like a story than an about me and I tied my reasons for wanting to be a FNP to my dad's health story and how I felt about it/ what I wish he received/ what I think he and all people deserve and what I would have done to make the difference
Thanks for sharing your stats! So, I’m confused because I haven’t heard anything from Samuel Merritt yet. Also, no one new has posted an update in this group about admission for a couple days. Has anyone heard of decisions still coming out this week? I applied only to the FNP track and this is my first time applying here.

From what I've heard, all decisions (Acceptance, Waitlist, Declines) have been sent out to applicants. If the decision isn't in your spam/junk, then I would consider reaching out to Admissions. My decision came from [email protected].
Hope that helps!
