Volunteer hours: Lots!

Healthcare volunteer/work hours: None yet... : /

Letters of rec: one from my professor of Anatomy, one from a former manager

Hi! Thank you for starting this thread.  I applied to the ABSN program and have been waiting to submit this application.  I plan to submit by tonight.  

Here are my stats:

HESI: 89.3% overall

Science GPA: 4.0

Last 60 units: 3.8

Volunteer Hours: 200+ 

Healthcare volunteer/work :none- (I did work as a phlebotomist several years ago for a 1-2 months part time)

Letters of Rec. - Human Anatomy Professor, Crisis Center -where I volunteer, Employer- not in healthcare

Hi Everyone! Thank you to @mwilstevens for starting this thread! As the holidays are now over and the new year has kicked off I’m sure all of us our anxiously waiting to hear back from SM! Just wanted to let everyone know they are not alone. From looking back at previous cohorts it looks like we may be lucky to get interview invites late January/Early Feb. Either way I hope it’s sooner rather than later! Good luck to everyone!

Hi guys! Just got my email from SMU to confirm that my app is under preliminary review! I hope everyone else is getting their emails as well. It's nice to get communication from them. Helps ease the anxiety! Hoping to meet someone who also applied for Fall 2022 soon! I applied for both CM and FNP ?

Hi everyone, 

Does anyone know where we can see status updates? Would that be nursing cas or would we just need to wait for emails directly from Samuel Merritt? This is my first time applying to nursing school and would love any insight.

Nursingcas will tell you if your app is verified. You need the verified status in order for SMU to review your app. Anything after the verified status will come directly from SMU.

Hi everyone I just got my email from SMU that they've completed the preliminary review on my application! I only applied to the FNP track.

Got my invite to interview for the CM track today!! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!
