Samuel Merritt ELMSN CM Spring 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone!

I couldn't find a thread for Samuel Merritt ELMSN CM Spring 2017 applicants so I decided to make one!

I just wanted to see if anyone has heard back from the school yet? I got an email saying that they received my application and that my GPA and courses have been verified but thats it.

Anyone hear anything about interviews or rejections?

I saw on their website that interviews begin in mid september, so I'm wondering when they will notify us if we get an interview!

Hey there! No, nothing yet but I called the admission counselor two days ago and she said they are still reviewing applications. Fingers crossed. I hope I get to meet all of you!

I just got an interview invitation email from SMU. The interview will be held October 5th in Oakland. I'm on cloud 9 right now.

Same here! Don't want to get my hopes up too soon though, but hoping this is a good sign!

Looks like the interviews are all day, in person meeting then a written portion.

Hope everyone else on here got the emails!

I got the email as well! Best wishes to all of you!

Anyone knows how many people in total got invited to the interview? I just want to know what my chances are. Thanks a lot!

I just call their office. The coordinator is super nice and helpful. She helped me change the date to the October 10th session, which works better for me since I'm out of state. Sadly, she is not allowed to tell us the number of interviewees. Good luck everyone and hope to see some of you in person!

Sorry MursePanda for the late reply. I did not get a notice that you replied to my thread.

Sorry, but I am not understanding your question regarding "losing out". In what respect? If it is easier to talk over the phone I can message you my cell and you can ask me questions. My schedule is a bit tight, so if you're free today until 1400.

Mentorship program: We accept students interested in applying to SMU and is their first choice since we know how to navigate SMU resources (library, tutoring, extracurricular activities, etc.). If you are looking at SMU, feel free to fill out the application. We are in the testing phase of mentoring students before SMU and at the beginning of SMU. To see which is better.

Hey,

I have my interview on October 5th. Has anyone started to prep for the interview? If so, what are you doing? Much appreciated!

Nick

I posted this in a few other places, but I'm gonna post it again here. This is how I prepare for the interview. I practice answering these commonly asked questions before hand, but don't let these overwhelm you. Just have an idea in mind how you want the interviewer to get about you as a person and use that as a guideline to answer the questions. Hope this helps!
