I applied for the ELMSN case management program at SMU for fall 2017 and am wondering who else applied?? :) Lets support each other!

Hey guys! I applied super late (when they extended the deadline). I got an interview 2 weeks ago and just found out I'm #4 on the wait list. Ah! Hoping for the best!

Thank you!!! No time frame really..they said the wait list is really fluid and we can be pulled it at anytime before the program starts. They also said they anticipate movement on the wait list well into the summer months, so I'm anxiously waiting!

Exciting!!! I'm hoping for the best for you! Makes sense that there could be movement because people are finding out about other programs starting soon! I just found out yesterday I got Into USF. Did you apply anywhere else?? Best of luck!!

That's so exciting, congrats on USF!!!! That's amazing news. I applied for their program (for Spring 2017 Semester) and was wait listed. But they ended up not taking anyone from the wait list for that semester because everyone confirmed their spots. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for SMU though!

I was waitlisted for the spring start at USF as well and then admitted this cycle for summer! I bet you'll get into SMU! That's where I am choosing to go so I hope we are classmates! :)

There are 24 spots in the program and I heard that over 100 students applied (possibly more because they extended our deadline months after the initial one). I hope that helps! Good luck!

Hi all! I applied for the Spring 2018 ELMSN-CM program at Samuel Merritt and have an interview on the 3rd. I'm super nervous! My stats aren't competitive (to me) so I'm hoping for the best! Any advice going into the interview would be greatly appreciated!

The interview is one on one and you'll want to focus on 3 things and practicing how you can articulate them into an answer when they ask you. 1- why nursing? 2- why samuel merritt? 3- why case management? This did not happen to me, but others told me they drilled them pretty hard on past grades and questions about what happened. These people still got accepted, so it's nothing to worry about. Just go in there with passion, be yourself, show them you did your research and cannot imagine going to school anywhere else! Also dress very professional. I wore a black pant suit and my hair in a classy updo type bun. You got this!
