Honestly stats help you get an interview but thats about it. They seemed to care more about personality in the end. Just a rough idea of my stats I have about 3 years at 2 top teaching hospitals, 3.9 gpa, 308? GRE and some precepting. Feel free to PM me any questions.

I got waitlisted! I think stats play with their decision after interview too! I have minimal GREs, average GPA, 2.5 years SICU. But I was active in percepting and hospital wide initiatives. Congratulations on those who got accepted!!! I hope they pull me off the waitlist so I can join yall this year!

I am in! See you guys Fall! Don't give up hope Lmanalo! I know someone who was waitlisted and got in a week before the program started and he was at the top of his class!

Thanks! I'll just have to wait and see how things play out this week. I believe the deadline for the deposit will be next weekend.

Hey fellow SRNAs, I got accepted at SMU starting this fall 2018 but its for a 3 year program. Anyone got this memo too? I would like to know more details about their 3 year program from y'all since I can't find any online.

Hey Lmanalo! I also got an email today about the 3 year program. It looks like the first year you take the non anesthesia classes, like research, etc. Then next fall you'd start the program full time. You would be taking 3 units/ semester the first year, making the load lighter once you actually start the program in 2019. So you can most likely still work throughout the first year to make some money too! What number on the waitlist are you?

I was 3rd on the waitlist. Since it's 3 years, do you know if this will be a Doc program?

No it won't be a doctorate. I don't think SMU is going to a doc program until they have to. Are you going to go for the 3 year program?
