Hi. So I submitted my application yesterday for the spring 2015 absn program at the San Mateo campus. Who else has applied?
Hi! This was for Spring... and I was number 20. They never said anything. This is why I said the waitlist doesn't really move. any number up to 12 is okay.. but anything after, you can try to have your application resubmitted, but you will end up with the same exact number on the waitlist again. What I should have done is rolled my app and reapplied, which unfortunately I did not. Good luck :)
Actually the Counselor I was working with even said "don't worry, lets wait and see". Don't wait and see! Reapply and roll the app. At the same time apply to as many other places as you can! Thats where I went wrong. I hope the waitlist moves quickly for you and it all works out. I think fate has it that it was not meant to be for me.
Hi..I'm new to this thread but I also got a call this morning (got a voicemail while at work) at 9:45am and an e-mail later in the afternoon that I was accepted!
I actually was wait listed for this fall..but I was pretty far on the wait list so they rolled my application to Spring. My grades were not the best..but I had a lot of volunteer experience and health care experience as a Medical Assistant..no classes in progress.. although I did finish pharm and patho in July through SMU..but I'm not sure if that was added to my grades or not. My TEAS was math: 83.3 reading: 100 Overall: 89.3. My TEAS could have been better. I also added a letter of rec from an RN and I retook my TEAS (to improve math) and added that to my rolled application. I'm guessing the letter from the nurse really helped.
Excited to meet everyone and I will add to the FB page! Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear and on wait list..there is still a chance!

@terankin, you are super competitive! I have no idea why someone with your credentials did not get in. Sometime some places are just not meant to be. Thats what I'm thinking is going on with me. I'm still sitting here staring at phone phone, calling the Admissions counselor but no answer. Having gone through this before, I can share what they told me when I was waitlisted for Summer. "I have no idea why you were waitlisted! Your credentials are stellar! Its unfortunate, it was just a year with a lot of applicants. Dont worry, getting waitlisted is an accomplishment". Well, here I am today, still keeping my hopes up, going through the anxiety a second time. @terankin, it could be that you get an admissions call close to 4. Miracles do happen. We gotta keep our hopes up. :)
