Samuel Merritt ABSN Sacramento

Hi all! I am applying to Samuel Merritt Sacramento 2015 spring cohort. I'm wondering if anyone else on here is applying and how many in progress classes do you have?

I am taking Pharmacology and Pathophysio online this summer, then taking Physio and Stats in the fall. Hopefully this isn't too many to be IP when we apply by July 1.

I received an email today from SMU's financial aid office, but still have not received my decision email. Strange. Here is part of the email.

"Hello,

Congratulations on your recent acceptance to the ABSN program. I want to personally introduce myself to you as the financial aid counselor for the ABSN program at Samuel Merritt University. I also wanted to let you know that I will be visiting SRC Campus tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014 from 9:30am – 3:00pm. I encourage all students who need financial aid assistance or have financial aid questions to please stop by to see me. [...]"

Is it safe to assume I did get accepted into SMU's ABSN program and my decision email is MIA? If I didn't actually get in, then all these emails I keep getting are a tease!

It sounds like you got in, yay!!! Have you checked your spam? Maybe called the admissions director see what she says?

I've checked, and rechecked my spam so many times and found nothing! :/ I called yesterday and left a message since the voice mail said she'd be out of the office until today, but I still haven't gotten a call back.

I'm hoping for the best!

@a_ruehling I agree it sounds like you got in but I would call just to be safe because then they can resend your acceptance email. It has a list of all the stuff you need to get done before you enter the program. You could try calling the Sacramento admissions counselor and just say that you know that someone else is handling the ABSN applications but you can't get a hold of her and you want to make sure you get everything ready before the program starts in January.

I'm in!! :) Just got off the phone with Sacramento admissions and my admittance into the program was confirmed! Phew, now I can relax a little bit! Good luck to everyone else who has yet to hear back!

Hi Everyone!

Congratulations to those who have gotten in so far! I found out last week that I will be joining you! I'm so excited! Did any of you go and talk to the financial aid counselor from the Oakland campus? She came to Sacramento on Wednesday. If you haven't already completed the 2014-2015 FAFSA be sure to do so ASAP. Also it said that we have to mark ourselves as 3rd year juniors in an undergraduate program.

Anyways, I look forward to those of you who made it in this 2015 spring cohort! So exciting! I'm sure I will meet you at the Orientation on November 20 and 21st!

I am a recent graduate from Samuel Merritt University ABSN class of 2013. I have scrubs that I would love to sell if anyone is interested. I have 3 small tops with SMU logo, 3 small blue pants, 2 small jackets with SMU logo all from the SMU book store. I am thinking $70 for the whole bunch. Please let me know.
