Hello everyone, I haven't seen a thread for the ABSN Fall 2021 Start (Sacramento, San Mateo) so here it is. ?
Wowowow congrats to everyone that got in! I'm first on the waitlist so I hope I can get in as well. Oh and my stats weren't stellar
3.7 or so Science
3.4 last 60
91 overall on the TEAS
80 on reading
100 on Math
91 I think on science
Also I worked almost a year as a screener at my hospital and almost 100 hours of volunteering
Letters of recommendation from my supervisor and nurse manager I volunteered under
AHHH congratulations to everyone that got accepted! ? I'm currently number 2 on the waitlist so I'm hoping some way some how I will be able to get in ?
I don't have the best stats: I have absolutely no prior experience with nursing at all. I am currently working as a coffee bartender. I got an overall 87% on the HESI:
90 on math
88 on reading
96 on grammar
90 on vocab
100 on anatomy
and my GPA is at a 3.5 for the last 60 units. I have three courses in progress that I still haven't updated on my app yet: pharmacology, pathophysiology, and nutrition.
Good luck to everyone on the waiting list!

Hi!
I used a GPA calculator! I listed out all my classes starting with the most recent and added up the units until I got 60.
you can use this one or Google another one!

Congrats to everyone who got in! I just got my acceptance letter for the San Mateo campus a few days ago.
Does anyone know people who have gone through the program? Anyone know how the program is regarded? I’ve read a few reviews about the program and some of them were less than favorable to say the least.
Just finally heard back I got accepted! Phew that was a stressful first half of the Summer ?. Hoping some more folks hear back today. Wishing anyone reapplying the best of luck! For those wanting stats shared:
prereq GPA: 4.0
first BA: 3.7
Licensed EMT
500+ hours of volunteering at a nonprofit clinic over 3 years.
2 years employed as a street health outreach worker, 8 years non-health job experience
TEAS: math 100, English 91, science 81
LORs from anatomy professor and nurse supervisor
@H-Q thanks for the heads up! But I recently found out I made the waitlist which isn’t too bad, but better than a rejection. I’m hoping all of us on the waitlist make it in somehow as I’ve heard previous cohorts have accepted 10+ from the waitlist before! But who knows? ??♀️ I do plan on reapplying for the Sept 1 deadline and other programs just in case I don’t get in. But congrats on your acceptance!✨
For those who had to complete their science prerequisites, did you opt 100% online classes or hybrid mode? Since SMU says they are accepting 100% online labs due to Covid-19, I am wondering what everyone is doing, specifically about science prereqs?
I still have a long way to go. I have to complete a lot of prerequisites including all 4 Science prerequisites.
Plan to apply in 2022. Would love to hear back from you.

For the people that got in, did you get this Financial aid letter too?
