Hey I’m yet to see a thread for shsu Spring 22 applicants so I made one!

You beat me to it. I was literally about to make one just now ! But hi ! I’m also applying to the Spring 2022 semester. I figured I’d go ahead and post my scores. 
 

TEAS: 
Reading: 85.1

Math: 96.9

Science: 97.9

English: 91.7

Pre-Nursing GPA: 3.61

Cumulative GPA: 3.66

Those are really good !! My GPA is a very low 3.1 but I have a 90.7 overall on the TEAS. I scored a 83 on reading & 93.8 on math. Those are the scores they take into consideration. 
 

im super freaking Nervous considering the fact that my GPA is so low

Your scores are good too !! I know someone who had a low GPA but they got in because they had really good TEAS scores, it’ll be okay ! You got this for sure !

Hi guys I'm also applying for Spring I actually applied for fall and was waitlisted.  GPA 3.61 Reading 82 and Math 97. Advisor did let me know fall is more competitive so hopefully I get accepted this time fingers crossed!

In the NursingCas application, they do a cumulative GPA. Does this count as the nursing pre-req GPA? Im confused how they calculate that. This is my first time applying using NusingCas to any schools so I'm a little confused. 

I thought they look at just pre-nursing GPA?

Hey everybody, I just applied for Spring 2022 and just wanted to share my stats!

GPA

Prerequisite: 3.69    Cumulative: 3.51

TEAS

Overall: 86.7   Math: 96.9    Reading: 87.2    Science: 76.6   English: 87.5

Bonuses 

2 preference points from hours at SHSU

Yes, Sam’s nursing school doesn’t go off of the NursingCAS GPA. They use what you get from the Sam GPA calculator

My advisor just e-mailed me back and said that both completed classes and in-progress classes are considered for the preference points. So instead of 2, I would have 4 preference points.

Hey, new here! I applied to the LVN to BSN bridge program out of the woodlands. Any one else? 

Also does anyone know when we will receive our acceptance or denial email?

We usually get them 45 days after the deadline. So I’d say around October 15th or 16th !
