Salem Hospital Oregon Internship

I applied too. It's my first time applying to this internship. I graduate in May. I haven't heard anything yet. I wonder how many people applied? I'm glad the position was only posted for four days. It makes our chances of getting a spot higher!

Hey there, good luck to you too! I will let you know if I hear anything. I know they love new grads because they had like 60 positions open and I'm hoping to get at least get ONE! :) I applied for the ER/ICU one which had the most openings so we'll see what happens. I talked w/ a recruiter from another hospital in Oregon and she mentioned that when the programs start in August 1st things usually get things rolling mid/end of May, so I'm just trying to be patient. Yes, I did get the email! It sounds like there were a lot of applicants. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Great! you doing the phone interview/flying? Also, what is your top? CC has 36 and ED 6...that sounds like alot, then again don't know how many applied. Two of my friends also got emails so thats 3. Good Luck! :)

I actually live in portland, so I'll be driving. I applied for the med/surg one, because I want to work on a med/surg floor after graduation. I think there are like 20 spots. Which one did u apply for?

Hi, I actually chose critical care, its says there's 36 spots. I hope you get Med-surge! I really wanted that at first because I did my preceptorship there and I feel pretty comfortable there but in the long run I've always to be in the ICU or ED, so I was like what the heck..mind as well go all the way! haha...I really wanna know what the chances are and how many apps they received, I'm guessing a ton...however it turns out, Good Luck to you!!!!

Yes, I did get a second interview. I haven't heard back yet. I really thought I would hear back by now. When I asked the panel when we would be hearing back. They told me I would know by the end of last week. I just really want to know either way. Good luck to you SalemSN though!
