Salary for New Primary Care PNP

Published

I was recently offered a job and have no idea what kind of salary to ask for. What should I expect as a salary for a new, primary care PNP in Boston? Also, in other people's experience, is it a lot to work 5 days a week? Should I stick to 4? Thanks

Tussah10,

If you are up north I believe the 80-85k range mentioned by other's in response to your post, is definitely attainable from what I have heard from PNP colleagues. Unfortunately, the average starting salary for PNPs can be considerably lower (in some cases) in comparison to a new grad FNP.

Tussah10 Depends what part of the country you are in... in the south new grad PNP base salary range is 68-75k per year (working 4-4.5 days per week) with productivity/bonuses you can get up to high 80's from my experience. On my first interview I was offered low 60's and I ran away from that offer swiftly! If you are up north I believe the 80-85k range mentioned by other's in response to your post, is definitely attainable from what I have heard from PNP colleagues.
