Hi @Gurvinder Singh and other current students! I'm planning on applying for next year, but I just wanted to know what the overall schedule is like. I understand it is accelerated, but do you get any time off in the Winter or Summer?  Thanks in advance!

HI, You get one month of Winter break and 2 weeks in the end of August.

Specializes in Oncology.

Hi @Gurvinder Singh,

Nice, thank you!

@Gurvinder Singh hi! Do you know when orientation usually is held? We’ve been in the dark with information regarding the program due to lack of emails on the schools part. Also, do you have a student handbook that you could share?

Im very appreciative of how helpful you’ve been to everyone in this thread. Thank you so much.

@Amber Helou because of COVID, last year we got emails so late around late July.  This program is weird. They have some great professors and some very weird ones. Just enjoy your Summer for now. You will busy next Summer. We have two test every week LOL.

@Gurvinder Singh when you say weird ? Why is that? What don’t you like from the program? How many Professor do you have and are the majority not that great ?

@vespin98 I don’t wanna to put all the blame on those Professor. Because my classes are online because of COVID. It’s difficult to study. I’m sure if they were in person. I may feel differently about them. I don’t love or hate this program. It’s okay. I had some great clinical experiences in NICU and Oncology unit. I also had Professors I wish that I never had. Basically what I’m saying in the end of day, you wanna focus on studying for NCLEX. What I try to do now. I study for each body system. I do practice questions from U world too. So I can prepare for NCLEX too. I hope that you guys will professor Joset brown for patho She broke down every body system so easily for us. So I don’t feel that Med Surg is hard now. Do as many practice test as you can. But don’t stress it now because once you will in the program. You will test every week. So go on vacation or something now. All right guys. I have psych test now. Gotta go. Peace

Hey all ! Has anyone received anything regarding billing or orientation ? I feel like I haven’t heard from the school in a while LOL

I haven't received anything either!

Hello Everyone, I was recently informed I was accepted. I’m one of the waitlisted guys haha. So I’ve been exchanging emails with and administrator as SPU and from what I gathered they are JUST about to start sending information out about classes and such this week or next week. As for the enrollment payment she told me to pay through the portal but the portal doesn’t seem to have a link for online payment. I sent an email and just waiting to see if she answers.  I also found the FB group which was pretty cool and hopefully can get some info there as well. I'll post here or on FB if I hear from her. I just got in on Wednesday!

I had 3.7 Science GPA. My overall bachelor’s GPA is 3.3. They wanted to me get over 70 in TEAS. I was a little less in English in TEAS but they accepted it. Reach out to Dr Lisa Garsman. She is amazing. She will tell you everything about the program. It’s definitely difficult. I worked 30 hours . I think that my courses suffered a little but you can definitely manage a part time job. Let me know if you have any more questions. Enjoy your Christmas eve

Hello,

I hope you see this message. I am applying to the program for Fall 2022. Can you tell me more about the program? You mention it's difficult can you elaborate more on that if you don't mind? I wanna know if the course work is difficult or if managing the program itself is difficult. I just wanna know what to expect? Thank You
