Saint Mary's University of Minnesota Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesiology (CRNA) Class starting 2025

Published

Greetings everyone,

I am reaching out to see if a thread was created for Saint Mary's University CRNA class year starting in 2025. I applied some time ago and know that the application deadline has passed and am anxiously awaiting information LOL

I also heard it is more EI and not clinical focused however I plan to still be prepared for both just in case!

Got the rejection letter, they said they reviewed over 200 candidates. Is it just me or does that seem really low?

Interesting. I didn't get any emails... yet. And I was told by by the program it was 300 (at least that's how I recall it) frankly does seem a little low. Minneapolis School of Anesthesia was over 800 applicants.

Okay—I got a decision letter of rejection. Did anyone else find it a bit weird that they plugged their CRNA prep course in the rejection letter?

Like, we're sorry your personal goal statement wasn't up to snuff, so probably give us 3k to take this course then try again next year. My GPA is very high so that didn't have anything to do with my rejection.

I got a rejection to but am interviewing with MSA Monday.

Was I also not selected based solely on my personal statement? I can't really change who I am as a person soooooo, you just want me to spout some fluff to get in? There I'm done complaining and sour grapes. Congrats to everyone who got an interview and I hope the best for all of you!

The email is just more generally confusing to me than anything.

The rejection letter stated they had over 300 applicants and they removed over a hundred and then really looked at just 200 of the total applications that met all criteria.

Mine did not mention the 300 applicants. If yours did it sounds slightly different.  I'm a touch disappointed but not discouraged. All good. Have an interview coming up to be optimistic about. Best of luck to everyone! Maybe we'll see each other in this thread next year - but I hope not. LOL

Hey! I will say that the class can be beneficial with helping to prep your application. I have not taken the class myself. However, they do go over your resume and application content. You also get the opportunity to do a mock interview with the director.

That's cool. I'll consider it for sure. Not like it would hurt. Particularly if St Mary's was your first choice but any school would appreciate the effort. I'm sure it's a valuable course. Who wouldn't benefit from a little chem review.

I've heard it's a combination of personal statement, math and science GPA as well as experience.
