Hi! I was accepted into St. Luke's for the Fall of 2012. I got all of my PreQ's at JCCC in Overland Park, KS. I have a 3.9 Nursing GPA and a 3.5 overall. I was told acceptance is heavily weighted on GPA, however I think the average is about a 3.7. Other than that, they require 2 referances ( Which I suggest be professors, both of mine were ) and an essay. You can find the essay requirements on their website. I also have my CNA and Healthcare Provider CPR card, as well as a little volunteer work. However, they said that previous healthcare exp, as well as volunteer work doesn't carry that much weight for acceptance. Any other ?? feel free to ask! Good luck! :)
Thanks for the reply. I just took boards for LPN and I have not completed all pre-reqs. How long did it take you to complete them? BTW good luck with the program. I would love to get in there. I need to get on the ball! LOL
