Hello fellow cohort,
Wanted to start this trend in case anyone else was feeling anxious about starting their acute care experience at the hospital. I graduated last year in March of 2020 the week before the pandemic officially called for the “lockdown.” I was able to graduate and go to Disneyland in time. But my ATT# was delayed until August. And I took the NCLEX in October. I’ve been applying to new grad programs since then all while I’ve been working with COVID relief programs.
Brief timeline with St. Agnes so far:
- applied to the august cohort sometime in April
- received an automated response about my application on May 5
- received an email from “talent acquisitions” (TA) to schedule a phone interview on June 10
- phone interview with TA on June 17
- received an email from TA on June 30 about in person interviews with the department managers that you were interested in. (PS I chose medsurg)
- in person interview with a 3 person panel from different medsurg floors on July 16
- July 20: phone call from TA stating that the medsurg floors were no longer looking for new grads and asked if I was interested in tele. Set up a phone interview with tele department manager for the following day.
- July 21: phone interview with tele department manager. Got a call on the same day from TA stating that I was recommended for position. Sent me an email to schedule a phone conversation about the next steps in the process (background check, paperwork, etc) and any questions I have.
- July 27: Tomorrow is my phone conversation! Excited.
Please let me know if you’re in this cohort as well! Especially if you’re on the Tele unit as well. I may even be looking into future roommates if anyone is interested! Thanks a bunch!

Hi Marie,
I know this post was from a while back. I was hoping you remember any of the questions the initial recruiter asked you as well as what types of interview questions you were asked on your panel. I'm almost graduating this semester and have my first phone interview with a recruiter this Tuesday. Any info helps!! And congrats on your years of being a nurse ☺️
