Hello. I've seen previous comments that in the Sacramento area Kaiser pays the best and UC Davis pays the worst but has great benefits. Could anybody please give specific pay ranges and/or benefits information rather than just relative "better" or "least" descriptions for pay and benefits? I've heard that UC Davis' retirement plan will be changing soon to be less favorable?
Well looky there... a new program... I'm not terribly surprised because retention is a huge issue.I feel like I'm not expressing myself correctly as I mentioned it couple of times, that the training program for UC Davis ED is only for experienced nurses without prior ED experience. Maybe, it is a mistake on their website, idk.I don't know anyone in Sacramento to ask for a personal reference
Prior, I always had luck talking to HR through LinkedIn. And of course, I'm not calling recruiters.
I have to admit, that it takes an unusual amount of time for recruiters to get back to me this time. Maybe the area is overflown and recruiters not that "hungry". We shall see
I did see the statement, "Applications from the public will generally be considered if a current employee is not selected" so I would expect that you're a ways down the line.
You can try calling HR but I wouldn't expect to get far that way. I suppose it coudn't hurt but I'm not aware of anybody being hired by that means.
It doesn't strike me as appropriate to share the names, emails, and phone numbers that you might be looking for... sorry. I don't think it would do you any good, anyway.
Go through the published process and hope for the best. It does work for some people, even if it takes awhile.

California, Northern California particularly still has a lot more applicants than positions. I know you aren't a new grad but I think recruiters are overwhelmed by all the applicants, phone calls, inquiries by new grads that it's hard to make contact with them even if you are applying for an experienced position.
