Sacramento City College ADN Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Anyone get accepted to Sacramento City College's ADN for Spring 2018? I did and I haven't heard much of anything from them. I've emailed them a couple of times with no response yet.

I rescinded an acceptance to another school for this fall so I could go to SacCity in the Spring, and by this time frame we already had our information.

SacCity said we would get information this month, but I really need to know when orientation is going to be so I can scheduled it out. I heard orientation is multiple days, is this true?? I need to know what the hours are going to be for Spring 2018 so I can figure out how I'm going to get my kids taken care of--the website is not specific. Do we have to apply for the Spring so we can register? By what date do we need to complete physicals and vaccinations? If we have to make appointments with our own physicians, the time is now.

Any former Spring starters have information you care to share? Is there a place I can get a syllabus on the SCC website?

Hello Ricky,

I got called October 27 for an opening spot in the nursing program for spring 2018 at SCC and took the offer. That day I picked up my application packet with all the info on vaccines and orientation, I believe it was December 8 for the spring 2018 and I didn't hear anything about it being multiple days.

Let me know where your are at and if you heard anything from them. I know the vaccination process won't start until October 30 but we have until January 8 to get everything done with. I hope I'll see you in our cohort at orientation! Let me know if you need help with anything.

Anyone else got accepted for Spring 2018?

I was an alternative and was offered a spot about a week ago. I gladly accepted it.

Ya it seems like they went through their alternatives quickly, I felt like I was probably in the middle of the list. Do you know if the program at sac city is good ? I just know they where the only ones that took me so I'm not picky at this moment.

NCLEX Pass Rates

SCC nursing program NCLEX pass rates are one of the best I've seen.

Actually, programs like SCC, ARC, Sierra and Sac State are fantastic nursing programs given how many of their students pass their NCLEX. They must be doing something right!

Ya that's what I noticed, all in the 90's % which surprised me. I'm very happy I got into one of them.

Can we move this to the college programs board?

I believe it would get more views and traffic if it was placed in a more effective location imo.

Ya but the owner of the thread has to move it, sadly not me

Any updates with this? How are you guys with your clinical requirements?

I already completed the drug test, physical exam, I've got all my vaccines, I just need to come back on Friday to my doctors for the final part of the 2 step tb skin test.

I still need to get my cpr requiement done, the 2 passport-sized pictures, and pay the fees. And I should be done right before the orientation.

Quick question, can we register for the nurse class already? The 402 class I believe? I saw there are 30 seats and one has been taken already. Just curious if we can enroll before orientation.

I got everything done just have to finish the part two TB Test.

What fees are their ? the only one i saw was the $31 we pay at administration. I think you can enroll before the 8th but if you check eservices at Los Rios it will tell you your registration date, my date is the 12th so it doesn't matter for me much.

Did you enroll in the courses on Healthstream.com ? i don't know if we need to complete those right away before orientation, they are 4 classes total for a few bucks.

Overall i hope to be done before orientation as well and hopefully get into 407* but im sure they would not accept more people then spots.
