Sac State Fall 2013 Applicants

Scwolf- you just made me realize something! I always over-analyze everything. Especially when it come to school, work or anything that's really important to me. Which, right now in general the most important thing is my career. Anyways, having this quality means I'm prone to stress. I stress so easily if things aren't perfect. So it's been a bit of a negative thing for me. But you turned it into a positive for me. Maybe this is why I'm going into nursing and why I'm going to be a good nurse (well hopefully lol)!

Nurseinthemaking20- I can totally relate to the over-analyzing. In my case, all my current analysis over nursing school is becoming a bad habit though, because I am spending more time looking over all my nursing school application stuff and any information I can get my hands on about the programs, and very little time on my current classes... Good thing I have a super easy load this semester!

Yep I'm in the same boat. I'm too busy stressing over whether I did something wrong or missed something on the application. Or since I had my transcripts sent from the schools I'm all worried that sac state won't get them. I tend to have bad luck with stuff like that! Unfortunately I don't have too much of a light load. I've got physiology, statistics, and pharmacology to worry about this semester. In fact I should be studying for a physiology exam right now! God, why can't this semester be over already lol.

Why can't we just be accepted and starting the nursing program already, so we can stop worrying?! We need a fast forward button...

Hey everybody, I just mailed out my Sacramento State application last friday. I was wondering for you guys who are looking at more than one CSU program, how are you learning more about each program beyond what is just listed on their websites? I've attended the informational meetings for San Jose and East Bay, but I'm still having difficulty coming up with any reliable information regarding the quality and major differences between these programs. I've also asked this question to people in my prerequisite classes and it seems they have also had trouble finding out such information.

There was one thread on here that was quite helpful though, I think it was for Spring 2013 Sacramento State applicants. It was very interesting because there were current Sacramento State nursing students answering questions and explaining exactly what first year students experience. I think that's one example of information that I'd find very useful. Thanks guys and good luck to everyone!

Hi elliotPB,

Unfortunately I am not applying to multiple schools and I don't know much about those programs. The only suggestion I can give is attending the information sessions and going through the threads here on allnurses. You'd be surprised the things you can learn. If there arnt any good threads out there with the information your seeking, maybe you should create one and see who will respond. Anyways I just wanted to say good luck with your application, and welcome! Which a school is your 1st choice?

I am applying to East Bay, Stanislaus, SFSU, Fresno, Bakersfield, SJDC, and LMC. The last two being community colleges. Really hoping for Sac though!
Do you have a preference amongst the schools you are applying for critter55?

Yea Long BEach is my first choice then Sacramento then Chico. But ill take any of them if it comes down to it!!

Thanks Nurseinthemaking20, good luck to you too! I'll probably follow some of the suggestions you have about maybe creating a new thread or I'll try private messaging some of the current Sac State nursing students.

Either SF State or Sacramento State are my top choices, but I don't have a clear first choice between the two.

I wanted to check that after we order the official Teas results from ATI online, it shows up as

"You have already sent TEAS results to (dates sent in parentheses): CA State Sacramento"

in your ATI account. Just want to make sure I sent it to the right place.

critter55- I am with you, about taking any of the programs. As much as I want Sac, just getting into a program is the main thing!
