Sac City Extended Campus Sutter Nursing Program

After two years of trying, I finally have been given that awesome letter!! So first I want to say to all, don't give up, your day will too come!! I am just inquiring if anyone has completed this program, and what the scheduling is like? I know it is full time, I am just trying to prepare my family and I as much as possible for this exciting adventure and would love any and all feedback!! Please let me hear the good and bad!!

I also just won the lottery after my seventh time applying! I just picked up my packet today, and am looking forward to the orientation on the 21st. There are still so many questions and stressful decisions to make. Looking forward to meeting all of you and having a great 16 months!

CONGRATULATIONS to all of you!! Get ready to work your tails off for the next 16 months but, as a soon to be graduate in four days, I can tell you this program is the best program you could have gotten in to. A lot of you are asking questions about the schedule and when they told you in orientation it's a 40 hour a week PLUS job, they are NOT kidding. Different things work for everyone so do what works for you and I would say definitely get a study group/partner BUT not a large group because there is just so much to cover and discuss that it gets too distracting with too many people. Best of luck to all of you and remember: you are in this together, help each other out, support one another, NO ONE else, that hasn't graduated from this program already, knows what you are about to go through or will be going through like each other!! You will be offered to have our graduating classes email addresses for "buddies" USE them!! Insight can be invaluable on this journey you are about to begin!! Best of luck and remember.... Is the extended program a different application process? Is it through E-Services? Or do they just take the leftover applicants that weren't selected into the main program?

I noticed e services didn't have a separate application for the extended campus, they did last time. I talked to our coordinator and asked if there will be a new group starting in the fall and she said there will be. I would just call the campus and ask, they must be doing something different this time around. Good luck!

I was told that they were not opening up the program to applications for Fall 2012. I called to ask how to apply and that is the information they gave.

I called and they told me they anticipated a fall 2012 semester too, I am confused! Thank you Bristowa, we greatly appreciate any info since you are in the program!!

We still have hope! I talked to ------ at the extended campus and she said there will be a fall 2012 semester application period, they are just waiting to get the open enrollent dates from the main campus she said =) atleast this will open more spots! Now I guess we just have to wait... she said info about applying will be posted on the sac city extended program page when it becomes available.
