Sac City Extended Campus Sutter Nursing Program

After two years of trying, I finally have been given that awesome letter!! So first I want to say to all, don't give up, your day will too come!! I am just inquiring if anyone has completed this program, and what the scheduling is like? I know it is full time, I am just trying to prepare my family and I as much as possible for this exciting adventure and would love any and all feedback!! Please let me hear the good and bad!!

First of all, congrats! Second, there's a thread that starts off a couple years ago, but has a couple recent posts (today) from at least one person that went through the extended program. I'm in the regular program... and the regular program and extended program seem to have similar-ish schedules. Good luck!!

Congratulations! I just got my letter yesterday also! Have you picked up your packet yet? I feel a little in the dark about the schedule and requirements also, I am sure in orientation they will get all of the questions answered, but I am so excited I want to know everything now!

Hi Kdun12 and Bristowa! I have been accepted to start the Sutter Extended program in Spring 2012 as well!!!!!!!! :yeah:Hope to meet you guys at orientation...going to p/u my packet this afternoon...expecting to get hit with a whirlwind of forms, payments, etc. I am hoping they provide some financial aid information as well. SO EXCITING and NERVOUS!

Congratulations bec! I can't pick up my packet until Wednesday, do you mind a preview of what I should bring or expect after you are done picking up your packet?! (Like when orientation is, etc.) I am very excited and look forward to our crazy 16 months we have coming!

Yes, I'll do my best to update as soon as I can =) I am overwhelmed as I wasn't expecting to get into school this quickly (I AM VERY THANKFUL!!!) so I feel l have a lot of reviewing to do....

Same here, was hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. Then wham! I am in three classes right now, so I know how the overwhelmed feeling goes! What are you going to be reviewing?

It's pretty exciting! I am trying to brush up on my medical terms, anatomy and physio...haven't done it in awhile! I am curious as to our program start date?

I saw that there were flashcards for Sutter med. term on one of these threads, also quite a bit of info about what to expect going into the program. I was hoping to start working on dosage calculations, math is definitely something I need to knock the cobwebs off of! In addition to the start date, I am wondering how we are signing up for classes, if at all?! A million questions!:p
