Hello. I am in the process of applying to Carrington's LVN to RN advanced placement program. It's been a long process of getting my prereqs and GE's together, but I'm hoping I get accepted to the next class (August) ! Are there any current students or graduates from the lvn to RN program who can give me tips on how to ensure I get accepted?
I would also like to know if-- in the first month of the program, is it just once or twice a week for class and then gradually M-F? I'm trying to figure out scheduling for my job.

Let me know if you got info on this college. I am waiting to see if I get into PUC's bridge program. Hoping to get an answer soon!! I'm waiting on pins and needles.. So I know if I should look into Carrington.. even though it will be an hour drive (not including traffic). But.. I have seen many students get through this program. Not sure if its a full time or part time program though.

I'm still waiting to see if I get in. I believe they wont start notifying until next month. Do you know if the people who've gone through this program liked it and were able to get clinical sites? Also, Carrington would be an hour away from me too.
I hope you get into PUC! I have a friend who just graduated from the RN program. What are some of the requirements for PUC's bridge program btw?
Unfortunately, I didn't get in. My gpa isn't competitive enough. So, I have to take a class over increase it. Good luck to you!!
You would need to be an LVN w/ a years experience. Have a very competitive gpa acceptance which is based on more then the minimum of 3.0. They say that you need at least a 3.0 to be admitted. But I really think its based on the students applying to the program. They also only take 18 students I think? So now they take students yearly at the Napa location. If you are in the military then you can go to the TAFB location. It is also an 18 month part time program, which allows students to still work while attending the program. Good luck!

They already called you that you did not get in? did you apply or just tried to apply? I heard they will take 20 students out of like hundreds applying or applied already.
Aspiring2BRN- I'm so sorry you didn't get in, are you going to try to get in with Carrington? I haven't gotten a call for the acceptance or not yet. I believe they will be making calls around the second week of July. I'll keep you posted.
yatz1976- No, they haven't called me yet. I turned in my application and requirements for their application process already (so tedious and time consuming). I'm not sure how many students they accept at once but staying positive. Are you or have you applied?
I decided not to go to carrington since it's a commute. Good luck!
@rmc465 - Yes, I did apply too. Good luck to us!
@Yatz2019 - Good luck! I hope we both get in ?
btw, do you know what the schedule would be like for classes and clinical?
I have no idea regarding the schedule. I just spoke with the admin rep and she said they will start calling 2nd week of July. I got accepted at Unitek and classes starts July lvn to BSN I dont know what to do right now. Unitek is what's in front of me know and Carrington is not accepting yet.
Yatz2019- Congratulations on getting accepted at Unitek! I did all my prerequisites through there, but they haven't accepted me and I have been waiting for about over a year (constantly reapplying). So I decided to try it out with Carrington. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I believe Unitek might be a better option since its BSN. Also, just comparing reviews from students from each school, Unitek seems a little more organized. You can also consider which school is closer to you. Unitek was my first choice but Carrington would be a shorter drive for me.
Best of luck to you! And if you get in to Carrington, and decide to go that route, let me know ?
I'm waiting patiently for the news.
