Carrington College, Sacramento - LVN to RN 2019

Hello. I am in the process of applying to Carrington's LVN to RN advanced placement program. It's been a long process of getting my prereqs and GE's together, but I'm hoping I get accepted to the next class (August) ! Are there any current students or graduates from the lvn to RN program who can give me tips on how to ensure I get accepted?

I would also like to know if-- in the first month of the program, is it just once or twice a week for class and then gradually M-F? I'm trying to figure out scheduling for my job.

Hi!Sorry I just saw this but yes I got in for the October cohort. My TEAS was a little higher this time but not much difference from my first one. They decide based on the interview too addition to TEAS

That's awesome congrats and good-luck! Any tips on the interview that you think helped you stand out or in general?

I would say just be confident and 100% prepared. I've watched a lot of YouTube interview videos to get an idea and tips on standing out on a nursing interview!

Hi I am a new lvn trying to get my pre reqs in unitek and transfer to Carrington for an. Does anyone know if it's a smooth transfer to Carrington.

This is the reason why I'm considering Carrington, because it's closer to me AND although it's an ADN program (I'm also on the same side of the bridge as you guys are on), it's 8 months and I can always finish up with my BSN degree online with Western Governors University at the fraction of the cost.

But anyway, I'd really appreciate it if you are able to share with me what the proposed schedule is like for Unitek. It would be nice to get the BSN done, but the schedule and the cost is what's making me second guess. Carrington is definitely closer to me, whereas Unitek is almost 1.5 hours away WITHOUT traffic. =(

P.S. Any study tips for the TEAS? ? Thank you!

Carrington college Sacramento. Can you get into the RN program if you have a B in Microbiology class ? 78% on TEAS and 3.8 GPA

Not really. They just said they picked the right amount of students already and just quickly asked me if I'm interested reapplying. I did retake my TEAS cause I had time. So hopefully this time is better.

Do you know if they call or email you if you got accepted or not? How long do they take to inform you?
