Russian nurses?

I am looking for anybody from Russia who wants to become a CRNA. I just posted another thread like a minute ago but it didn't go through, so don't be surprised by two almost identical postings!:chuckle

You need to meet the same requirements that the Americans need to go thru. At least a four year BSN or similar, and a year of experience in an ICU unit. And then the application process.

You also want to make sure that you have a green card before you start the process, or US citizenship or the tuition will be outrageous.

Language skills also need to be perfect, remember that in the realm of anesthesia, you are under a mask for most of your working time.

i do have nursing degree from russia (ukraine)

i do have citizenship in america

i do have bs degree in america (business and finance)

do i still need to pass toefl exam?

i understand, that i need to do evaluation of my diploma, then i need to do bsn (12 month) and than i need to finish two years crna school (24 month) plus one year of experience in an icu unit.

am i right?

You need to have your nursing training verified by CGFNS, with the CES that is the credentials evaluation. That is also needed for you to continue on with any schooling in the US.

It is up to the school as far as the English is required, but they will base it on your skills as well in English.

You need to get the BSN and then a year of experience minimum before CRNA program. The CRNA programs are now about 27 to 28 months, have not seen a 24 month program in years.

And first before anytrhing else, you need to have a US RN license, not sure if you have that already. Would get that before doing anything else. That needs to be done first. You may wish to check out the international forum, there is much information there that will be useful to you.
