Hello All!

I just submitted my supplemental application for Rush University and I was wondering if anyone else had applied? If so, how long after your application was verified by NursingCAS did you get an interview?

Hi everyone! I am new to the thread, but also applied to Rush U GEM a while ago. My interview is tomorrow and I will be attending the first look on Saturday. I have a friend who is in her first year of the program now and she loves it! How did all of your interviews go?

Hi rendlau! I have a BS from DePaul and took a "gap year" to work in a research lab on DePaul's campus. I don't really have any hospital experience besides a 6 mo. volunteering stint at Northwestern Memorial. I think that your time as a CNA will really give you a leg up!

Good luck with your interview S.Tackett! My interview is next Thursday and I am so nervous. I have no idea what to expect. Hopefully we will get to meet each other at the first look on Saturday!!

Hello all! New to allnurses and this thread. I want to wish everyone good luck on interviews. Mine is this afternoon and I am very nervous. I also will be attending First Look tomorrow and am looking forward to a great day!

Hi all!

Just found this thread and wanted to connect with fellow applicants. I hope everyone's interviews have gone smoothly. I have a Skype interview on Friday and the nerves are creeping up on me. Is anyone else doing a Skype interview? Also, ChicagoAsh, you mentioned March 3rd...is that the date we will hear back from Rush?

Hi. How did the Rush Skype go? My interview at Rush was in person but Elmhurst College was Skype. It worked out totally fine and I don't think it hurt chances in anyway, but I just didn't like it. It felt impersonal to be sure just due to the format.

It's THIS FRIDAY everyone. March 3 is THIS Friday. Hooray! Hope interviews went well for all.

I'm curious if anyone asked how the decisions are made from the interview forward. For example, if there were 4 interviewers total do they rank/recommend their top 25 candidates each and throw them in a pool for a panel, or do they all talk together in a room...?

Great question, msnprospective!

It would definitely be interesting to learn how they go about deciding who to accept after the interviews. I wish I had the answer for you!

I also felt like the skype interview was a bit impersonal and definitely preferred the in person interview!
