I just submitted my supplemental application for Rush University and I was wondering if anyone else had applied? If so, how long after your application was verified by NursingCAS did you get an interview?

Congratulations to you all on getting interviews! I also have not heard anything about specific dates. It seems like there is a whole orientation component associated with the interview too. Does anyone have an idea about how many applicants there were for this cohort?

I've tried to call to speak to someone but haven't been able to get through to anyone in the nursing department. I think its a bit busy right now since it's a new semester. Hopefully we'll be able to find out by next week.

Are you all ready for the weather for there? I haven't traveled anywhere up north, im excited.

I did get a financial aid email a couple of hours ago so I'm sure the rest of the info is on its way. @metanoia21 I'm a native Chicagoan and you'll get used to the cold real quick. As long as you have a good coat etc you're fine. If there's a blizzard, that's when it's hard to get around and such, but those aren't a regular occurrence. Plus it's all worth it once the weather is nice. Summer in Chicago is amazing.

I'm from Chicago too, sometimes its a little too cold but you definitely get used to it! What is everyone's background? Any career changes? I am applying right from undergrad, but I have quite a bit of experience as a CNA and volunteering in a hospital! Curious to here where others are coming from.

Interview schedule was released this morning. Is anyone else going to First Look? I plan on going, if anyone wants to meet up there :)

Hi everyone! I also applied and got an interview for the Rush U GEM program starting Fall 2017! I am planning to attend the GEM First Look on February 11th! Who else is planning to be there?!

hey @rendlau! I'm from the Milwaukee, WI area and have been working as a CNA in an Aurora hospital for the past couple years. I'm a "returning student" lol... I've heard that's what they call old people who didn't get it right the first time around ;) My undergrad is in art from the University of Wisconsin, Madison but I did my prerequisites at the UW-Milwaukee campus. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!! Will you be attending the First Look on Feb. 11? --Allison
