critical care nurse x 7 years in neuro/trauma, Burn ICU, PICU, CVICU.
CCRN, CSC, CMC, TCRN, ENPC, ABLS, on unit counsel, multiple shadow experiences, mission trip experience in Africa.
I was told schools prefer nurses with less experience so just keep trying.
I got an interview. I have 10 years in MICU. 3.46 overall GPA 3.5 science. Retook all my sciences added physics and o chem. Took some grad classes. This is year 4 of applying so we shall see. Also have ccrn, charge, did a poster presentation as a new grad. I think ultimately if you are an older nurse like myself, the best thing you can do is take courses so you can show how you currently do in school. I've been taking at least one course if not more since I started applying and every year that's what I'm told. I'm finally in a spot where I'm happy with my GPA and can slow down on enrollment.
I got an interview. I have 1 year and 10 months in a mixed trauma level 3 ICU, cumulative GPA 3.92, about 40 shadow hours, CCRN, lots of volunteer work, multiple presentations as undergrad and one as an ICU nurse, and am involved in multiple committees (both in college and on my ICU unit), including the president of the leadership committee. I have not taken physics, nor organic chem.
I got an interview as well.
my GPA is on the lower end (3.3) and 3.6 in pre/reqs / science courses. I have 8 years of SICU, MICU, TICU, Neuro ICU, and most current CTICU. I've done charge and precepted as well. This is also my 3rd year applying (first time I'm applying out of state, I only applied to schools in South Florida, so in order to maximize chances I've applied out of state as well.) The previous years I had not polished my resume, nor had I done any extra classes. I took graduate level Pharm from the CRNA/NP curriculum at FIU, and retook the two sciences I had a C in back in undergrad.
I am a horrible interviewer, I did very bad during my last interview so I think I'm going to have to pay for mock interviews. Wishing everybody good luck !!

What dates are their interviews being held?
