Figure I would start it. Had my interview yesterday and will be at first look today. Looking forward to seeing / meeting everyone. I feel my interview went very well. Anyone else have thoughts on interview? Also interested in how many males (besides me) this program attracts... Not that it matters in the slightest, but was told yesterday that there are as few as six (?) In the last cohort.

I think it might be Cohort 14. There is a FB page for Cohort 13, which is Summer 14.

Hello all, I am planning on applying next year to the GEM program and to the people that have gotten in what were your GPA's like and what kind of extra's did you have (volunteering experience, work experience, etc.) Thanks!

Hi! Good luck! I got in for this fall. My gpa was around a 3.4-3.5 but my science gpa was a little lower, around 3.2. However, I was a biology major and also took some graduate-level science classes. As far as extracurriculars, I worked in child care, tutored, and volunteered at a couple hospitals and at a free clinic. I had a lot of leadership experience which I think helped me.

Tip: If you want to start next Summer, apply early-decision. My friend applied during the normal cycle for this summer and got wait-listed; they had already filled about half of their summer slots by the time the other interviews came.
